An Earth-Like Planet, produced for The Photographers' Gallery online exhibit Alternative Networks (August 2021), uses neural network-generated imagery as a starting point for a speculative exploration of AI-based image generation and space colonialism.
The work takes the form of a short fictional email send to the artist in early 2021. This text is accompanied by a series of images produced by the Google Earth2 GAN.
